Warehime’s Pumpkin Patch

Hello, my name is Ashley Bear/Warehime and I am one of the leaders at Meadowbrooke Gourds. Many of you who have come up to the store probably know me as a class teacher from our Create Your Own events or you have seen me out and about on a tractor or gator working on the farm. You may have met my little mini Goldendoodle, Izzy, or read about her in one of our recent blogs. My husband, Philip Warehime, also works here at Meadowbrooke as the maintenance man. He keeps the gourd farm up and running by fixing what everyone else breaks. He also helps at the poly station during Create Your Own events.

My husband and I got married last year and have since bought 15 acres right beside the gourd farm. We are only 23 years old and Phil and I are starting our own pick your own pumpkin patch this year right down the road from Meadowbrooke Gourds. Last year there was an amazing response to the free sunflower fields here at Meadowbrooke and a lot of the families who came out were also looking to purchase some pick your own pumpkins.

Since Phil and I bought some land so close by, we decided to start our own small business, Warehime’s Pumpkin Patch. We are growing over 20 different kinds of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes for you to purchase. My dad, Ben Bear, is coaching us on how to grow and take care of pumpkins and we are hoping for a wonderful Fall season. Besides the pumpkins, we will also have some corn stalks for sale and a field of beautiful free multi-colored sunflowers. We will be opening this Fall and we welcome you to come out and enjoy the view of the sunflowers and pick some pumpkins!

We will be updating our facebook page with information about our Pumpkin Patch and dates that we will be open. Please follow us on facebook at Warehime’s Pumpkin Patch or click on this link https://www.facebook.com/warehimepumpkinpatch/?ref=bookmarks
