How it works

Join us for our Create Your Own event where you can work with our experts to create your own gourd design! No artistic experience is needed.

Sign up and pay a deposit for your seat reservation. We will provide you with a coupon for the reservation fee to put towards your project costs!

Pick your projects

Choose between a variety of gourd design projects, and make your own masterpiece! May designs allow you to choose between different heads and bodies to make the design unique to you. You can make as many projects as you would like during your workshop time. Need more time? Many will reserve spots in two back to back classes so they can craft for even longer!

Paint & Dye

Choose your own color scheme, or take a look at our example projects for inspiration, and paint or dye your projects with the help of our team. We can give you tips to help you make a beautiful design that is unique for you!

Style & Accessorize

Use our wood burners and other tools to add more detail to your design with the help of our team. Choose from many different accessories like ribbons, raffia, and more to complete your pieces. Make you own style or use our inspiration projects!

Registration Information

How to Register

Pre-registration is required. There is a $10.00 registration fee (plus processing fees) per person to hold your spot at the event. You will receive a $10 credit per person towards your projects during the workshop. Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email that will have tickets attached.

Please print out tickets and bring along or be able to bring up on your phone the day of the event to receive your refund when you checkout.

Rescheduling 

If you need to move to another day, please call Dori and she will be able to move your entire party to the date and time that works better for you if there are spots available.

If you are ordering for a group: and would like to sit together, please only place one order under one name.

Cancellations

Please note that service charges for the tickets are non-refundable. If you need to cancel you will be refunded the cost of the ticket only ($10.00/ticket). In order to receive a refund, you need to cancel your registration by the deadlines:

  • Refund deadline for September 6 & 7 is August 28th by 4:00pm
  • Refund deadline for September 13 & 14 is September 4th by 4:00pm

If you need to cancel after your deadline, we can provide a refund only if your spots are able to be filled. Please call Dori at 717-776-6029 Monday-Friday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm if you need to cancel.

No shows will forfeit the $10.00 registration fee and will not be able to be used by others in the party.

Agritourism Liability Clause

“AGREEMENT AND WARNING: I understand and acknowledge that, except for limited circumstances listed below, an agritourism activity provider is not liable for any injury to or death of a participant resulting from an agritourism activity. I understand that I have accepted all risk of injury, death, property damage and other loss that may result from an agritourism activity. I understand that an agritourism activity provider is not protected from liability if the provider: (1) Performs an act in a grossly negligent manner and causes injury or damage to a participant. (2) Purposefully causes a participant’s injury. (3)Acts or fails to act in a way that constitutes criminal conduct. (4) Recklessly fails to warn or guard against a dangerous condition that causes injury or damage to a participant. A dangerous condition is a condition that creates an imminent and substantial risk of injury or damages to a participant.”

Notice of Filming and Photography

By entering an event or program of Meadowbrooke Gourds, you are entering an area where photography, audio and video recording may occur.

Your entry and presence on the event premises constitutes your consent to be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded and to the release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction of any and all recorded media of your appearance, voice, and name for any purpose whatsoever in perpetuity in connection with Meadowbrooke Gourds and its initiatives, including, by way of example only, use on websites, in social media, news and advertising.

By entering the event premises, you waive and release any claims you may have related to the use of recorded media of you at the event, including, without limitation, any right to inspect or approve the photo, video or audio recording of you, any claims for invasion of privacy, violation of the right of publicity, defamation, and copyright infringement or for any fees for use of such record media.

You understand that all photography, filming and/or recording will be done in reliance on this consent. If you do not agree to the foregoing, please do not enter the event premises.
